So, I ordered the adjustable nylon cap for myself and tried it on once; it fit perfectly and looked nice. Then I decided to give it to my son. Me and the family were going to hang out and we were going to be in the sun for several hours. My son has been growing his hair for five years and I am the one who takes care of it. Let me tell you that he has TONS of hair; thick strands, very high density; long. I keep it styled in two strand twists. He’s 21 years old and has autism which comes along with sensory issues. Not only was the cap able to contain all his hair with ease but he didn’t flinch and protest (as he usually does) at the feel of the cap. With a regular ball cap, he immediately reaches to touch the cap when we put it on and keeps wanting to yank it off. He doesn’t like the way it feels and the adjuster in the back is made of velcro and often gets caught in this long hair causing other issues. It’s a battle to get him to keep it on usually. But when we put the adjustable nylon cap on, he reached up automatically to touch it and began running his fingers over it but did not yank it off. He began smiling; he liked the way it felt! I was able to adjust it to fit his head minus the drama of hair getting caught thanks to the toggle adjustment feature. He loves that cap and runs to grab it himself when we leave to go out together. I think he does this because he has PTSD flashbacks to life before the nylon cap and regular ole ball caps and wants to make sure we put on the adjustable nylon cap. LOL! And one more thing to note, the adjustable nylon cap has a giant “M” on the front which stands for Melanin I know. But my son’s name is “Myles” so the giant “M” functions as his first name initial in his case. Just a happy coincidence I know, but the icing on the cake nonetheless. I’ll soon be ordering another just to have a backup! This is a fantastic cap for a multitude of reasons and so glad that Melanin Hair Care came up with it. Thanks so much!

I am so happy about the stretch and fit of this hat. I really love the ability to wear it with any style. It is chic and very comfortable. I only wish there was a silk lining on the inside of the hat to add just a bit more smoothness to my hair underneath and avoid as much breakage as possible. I'm loving it!

I’m really enjoying my cap, it’s comfortable and stylish, it actually fits all my hair. No Velcro snapping your hair off. Super user friendly. I hope more colors will be coming soon.

Finally a hat that fits me. Easy to back on a quick weekend trip. Love the adjustable back that doesn't snag my hair too.
