I know there are some youtubers that say this shampoo strips the hair of everything but I'll have to agree with Whitney and say that for me, it doesn't do that at all. It still leaves my hair feeling moisturized while stripping it of the dirt and product buildup. It has a pretty gentle cleansing effect and if I have much more buildup than usual, I'll have to go in with a second wash which isn't an issue for me. The Peppermint scent is gentle and not too overpowering. The only thing is that it feels like my hair absorbs this shampoo no matter how much I put on it so I can never really get a good lather but that's fine by me as long as it does its job which it certainly does.
