This is the third product I have from @melaninhaircare and like its siblings, it is awesome. A little shampoo is needed to clean the scalp completely. The smell is peppermint-y yet mild. A no nonsense cleanser that leaves a fresh, calm scalp.It is a classic for me- reliable, reasonable priced (as all iof the products) and again, the generous size makes my quest for plastic reduction, clean care products, and a healthy hair and planet a lot easier.

Like many others, I have used several of Whitney's products (hair oil blend and twist cream) which I use in my wash day routine, but this shampoo is a huge no for me. I have 3C/4A hair and the first time that I tried the shampoo, my hair tangled horribly. I thought maybe I didn't detangle well enough prior to the shampoo/conditioning. I do not have this issue with my other staple products (mielle organics or shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil shampoo). I decided to try again today and the same results... I have not lost this much hair to tangling and knots since I last used this product. I feel horrible for having to trash the product, but it just did not work well with my hair.

I love your shampoo! It’s very clarifying so when I need a deep clean it’s what I use!
