I purchased the Melanin African Black Soap more than 8 months ago. I am 90% silver/gray, therefore very hesitant to use this shampoo. My silver hair stains very easily but I hate the purple shampoos almost as much as the yellow brassy hair. This product has really healthy and nourishing ingredients so I really wanted to try it. I decided to use the shampoo and fix the stained hair later. To my biggest surprise it did not stain my hair at all. It actually removed all the build- up and made my silver hair beautiful. I was surprised it didn’t stain because it is a dark color product. It will definitely be my #1 shampoo. No brassiness, stains or dryness at all. This is the best result I ever had with a dark color product. 100% approved. My hair is combination 3c/4.

I have been using this for almost a year now, and it's never steered me wrong, it keeps my hair clean throughout the weak and doesn't leave my hair feeling incredibly dry. I feel that because of the nozzle, that it keeps me from wasting product as I can directly put it on my scalp without a struggle, so it lasts me a while around half a year. I love that the ingredients are very healthy and I firmly believe that this shampoo helps grow my hair not only quicker but stronger because of the properties in the conditioner.

This product is super drying for my hair. At first I thought it was cause my hair was short, but as it’s grown out it’s been the same story. Wanted to like it, but honestly can’t see myself using it for my hair any longer. Two stars cause of the nice packaging and generous amount for the price (natural hair products overall are super expensive and this is on the pricy side, but for a good amount). I have 4b/c combo hair and I’ve been slowly giving the product to my friends to try first. If someone ends up liking the sample I gave they will get the whole bottle.
